Ft. Leonard Wood Army Base
Fort Leonard Wood Army Base: Created in December, 1940, the military base located in Pulaski County has become a center for military training and schools in engineering and military police.
The John H. MaHaffey Museum Complex has SIX museums for you to visit at the Fort Leonard Wood military complex. One of the museums is a virtual museum that you can enjoy while you are planning your visit to the Missouri Ozarks.
Ft. Wood was struck by an EF3 tornado on December 31, 2010 which destroyed homes and damaged structures at the base.
